How Much Food Can An Anorexic Survive On

HILL A day of Antonio Gamoneda

One day the world became silent
trees up there were deep and majestic, and we felt
under our skin
movement of the earth.

Your hands were soft in mine
and I felt at the same time the gravity and light,
and that you lived in my heart.

Everything was true under the trees, everything was
truth.
I understood everything as we understand
fruit with mouth, light eyes

poem by Antonio Gamoneda (Spain)
