Office 2008 for Mac: better but still slow

I was all excited just before the release of Office 2008 for Mac! Microsoft announced a significant performance improvement compared to the previous version of Office 2004 for Mac. What is it really this software?

After installing Office 2008, I am partially disappointed because the performance promised not to go. The software is certainly a little faster than the 2004 version, but applications like Excel and Word are still a lot of time to open.

I also noticed that the display Excel charts is slow and makes the "Scrolling" jerky, which is very unpleasant.

Saving an Excel file takes 10 seconds and sometimes it is impossible to work during this time.

It is also noteworthy that the Visual Basic module that allows macros to have disappeared in the 2008 version, which can cause problems for some users.

I'm using a MacBook Intel Core 2 Duo 2Ghz with 3 Gb of RAM and Office 2008 is currently the slowest application installed on my Mac! I do not understand how a spreadsheet or word processor can paddle while the image processing or video is very effective on the same machine. Bravo Microsoft!

Hopefully the next version of Office for Mac will correct these defects (a recent update fixes a few things already). If developers of Apple could help Microsoft to release something that shook proper cool!
