The iPhone 3G cheaper in France?

As written previously on this blog, the new Apple iPhone 3G will be announced June 6, 2008 and will be distributed in France by Orange.

Version 1 of the EDGE iPhone was sold (and still is) that the business model required by Apple, including the phone unsubsidised by the operator and Apple key part Your monthly (some say 30%).
This marketing model has shown its weakness in Europe where consumers are accustomed to be offered subsidized by mobile operators to 0 € or 50 €. Sales of iPhones in Europe have not been up to what was expected, and Apple is currently reviewing the business model of his telephone for the second-generation (3G).
This will translate for example, in Italy, through the distribution of the iPhone by two operators dispute. Apple should also taking away a percentage of monthly income against a subsidy of its telephone operators to increase sales (source ).

So hopefully see the new iPhone 3G sold in France by Orange at a lower price to € 399 € or 499 today! The rate of monthly fee should not change too much and start at 49 € a month for a two-year commitment.
