I will now try to trace the outline, but no Since it had not taken enough notes, will be a lot of ideas thrown here:
- Freewill : a genetic perspective, we are relatively close to the animals, beasts! Like them, we have the instinct to survive and that of perpetuating life. What makes us different is that we were created with free will. It is the "link" is missing, as reported by scientists, that free will takes over instinct.
This ability allows us to say "I love you."
But if we are free to say I love you, we may as well say "going to show you."
The downside is that even if we have free will, this does not prevent us from being enslaved by the choices we've made before (cigarettes, drugs, alcohol, chocolate ...).
The difference between angels and men is that they do not repent, and one third of the angels said'll get to see God. "He swept his tail a third of the stars of heaven," the Apocalypse of St. John.
- The man and woman are different in nature . They were not created at the same time, or in the same way, nor for the same purpose.
The father came back here on Genesis. Why does evil is it attacked the woman? Just because the woman is the pearl. To destroy humanity, he must first destroy the woman. And he took them separately, so that he can not think twice about what he would do.
- About science and religion : they do not object! The difference is that they do not seek the same goals. Science wants to explain "how" while religion provides the "why".
- difference between intelligence and intellectual mechanical : Being intelligent is to its mechanical use of intellectual truth, the search for truth.
- "Love your neighbor as yourself" . How can we understand that the other loves us if we do not recognize ourselves in his words? There must be love before loving others! Hence the allusions in the hours on the road that we are potential masterpieces. We are in God's image! Father was quoting an ancient philosopher, Know thyself.
- Differentiating the person and the act . Jesus before the adulteress: "no one condemn you, woman, me neither, go and sin no more" . It is important to respect the person even if he is wrong. We must know in that case show him his mistake and condemn the act. The goal is not to push the person but to help him recover.
- 4 axis help us in the Catechism :
- The Creed, the profession of our faith.
- The sacraments and the Eucharist
- Gospel, Christ's life,
- Prayer
[I remember a conference where he insisted Cardinal Barbarin on this last point. We must know our history, the history of the Church. How to evangelize, how to transmit the faith and how to refute the charges against the Church if we are not aware of? ]
- Love ...
- must build his project of life about God, faith. He wants our happiness!
- is the imposture of practicing love languages (words, gestures) without having committed itself to Love.
- Commit to Love : The gift of Self
- Passion lasts 3 years, less if you practice the language of love.
[The act of practicing the language of love can bring a form of coercion, which may then distort the decision on appointment. At the wedding, we recall: "Is this freely and without constraints? " is a freedom we must keep in order to say with full consciousness: YES.]
- The nobility of work ... See" praised the work "
[comment:
For my part, I am not always agree with what Father said. I find it quite severe in these statements. As he said, education is not always fun. I still think he learned a lot. Even if what he has sown has sprouted yet, I do not think that only the deaf heard and the good earth has benefited teaching.
But what I appreciated was that energy, that enthusiasm to talk about faith. He is a priest who had an extraordinary journey, which commands admiration. It's good that even today, we realize that Christians speak out, without that necessarily make headlines, they are one of the pilgrimage, they mark a generation of road and those who hear their stories. ]
Thank you my Father
